SELF CONFIDENCE, THE KEY TO REALIZING YOUR DREAMS

I’ve heard people speak and write on self-confidence and there’s one thing they’re getting wrong; when you’re doing something you’ve never done before, asking yourself questions like can I do this? Is this the right choice? is very much normal. You get scared and question a lot of things because you’re a human. But the response you give to yourself when you ask these questions is what actually proves your confidence level/what matters. People often equate self-confidence to self-absorption which is laughable.

What do people keep clamoring on self-confidence? I’ll tell you why. People love and will keep talking down on thing they do not understand to feel better about themselves. Most times when people keep criticizing something, it’s not necessarily because it’s bad. It’s most likely they don’t understand where you’re coming from. Then, when you allow them bury you with their criticism, you not only deny they world the Chance to see a star, you deny yourself the chance to shine. The world is so tough and there are many mean people out there. You have to continue doing what you’re doing to grow your brand or improving yourself regardless of if anyone would understand it or not.

Personally, I had to get to such level where I tell myself that I’ll bear the consequences of my actions regardless of the outcome. What if I fail? But What if I don’t fail? What if I succeed? What if this research helps discover something amazing? What if this write up helps inspire someone? And honestly, I don’t think it’s necessary to tell people about what you’re doing, they always find a way to make you seem silly even though I’ll still do what I’ve made up my mind to do. Most times, I prefer keeping things to myself.

If you actually follow up the finance world you’ll see how much the world’s richest men loose huge sum of money most days but guess what? They bounce back!! They don’t sit around crying and wallowing in self-pity they putting in extra effort and they eventually bounce back and even bigger. Try as much as you can to stay away from self-pity. If it’s too hard, keep consoling yourself with; “some days are like that” because honestly, some days are actually like that. Just like you must go through fire to produce fine steel, you’ll have the bad days probably more of it to appreciate the good days. Most times, people make huge discovery when they hit the rock bottom while some people never recover because they start wallowing in self-pity and give up. No one said it’ll be easy but you have to push through.

Have you ever thought of what the world would be like if most discovery weren’t made? We’d be in total darkness. None of those discoveries were made in a day. There were trials and errors, hardships, frustrations but these people didn’t give up. I really hope you don’t get frustrated and kill your dreams. I hope you keep pushing regardless of the hardships, you’d never know how many lives would be saved. Just like queen Elizabeth II said and I quote; “it’s often the small steps, not the giant steps that brings about the most lasting change”.

MOVIE REVIEW: LUTHER: THE FALLEN SUN

Luther: The Fallen Sun, seeing this title at first you would think it is a documentary movie about Martin Luther King. I mean the title fits just right and that's what I thought but instead I was thrown in one hell of a loop of suspense sauced with a good old-fashioned serial killing by a psychotic individual.   Luther in both the movie and the man DCI John Luther (played by Idris Elba) the cop with a score to settle against the killer does almost everything different from the normal we are used to taking a reference from Murder at the Orient Express and even the all too known Sherlock Holmes in that it shows you the killer upfront without looking to hide his identity till the awful last minute when connections are being put in place and you have a character with little moral standards on how he catches the bad guys.   David Robey (Wealthy trader and serial killer)   You would tend to enjoy the movie on two scales, the actions and life of both the serial k...
