MOVIE REVIEW: WURA

The ongoing drama, Wura (2023), presents the secret life of Wura Amoo-Adeleke (Gbemisola Scarlet Gomez), a woman who present’s herself to be a perfect wife, a loving mother, and a hard worker who runs a goldmine. Having gone through so much suffering to have the life she’s living, she is willing to eliminate anyone and anything who stands in her way of getting what she wants.

Enveloped with greed and pride, she gets so much blood on her hands in other to cover up her tracks and tries so hard to not be seen as a suspect. And also with her husband being the commissioner of police (Yomi Fash-Lanso), you can say that Wura Adeleke has the police at the tips of her fingers.

The
drama clearly shows how easy it is for the rich to oppress the poor and try to shut them up with money. But what do you think would happen to Wura Adeleke? Do you think it’ll be business as usual for the rich or will the poor look beyond what she portrays herself as and fight back? What do you think would happen to her when her family and people who trusted her discovers what she had done in the dark? Would she be able to live with it?

This series is top notch, educative and very entertaining. The casts were very good and I didn’t cringe at their acting. This is not the regular movie where you have to keep fast-forwarding

This series will definitely make you have your eyes glued to the television. I actually got so emotional at some scene that I had to pause for a while. Generally, I’d rate the movie 8/10 because it’s that good.

MOVIE REVIEW: LUTHER: THE FALLEN SUN

Luther: The Fallen Sun, seeing this title at first you would think it is a documentary movie about Martin Luther King. I mean the title fits just right and that's what I thought but instead I was thrown in one hell of a loop of suspense sauced with a good old-fashioned serial killing by a psychotic individual.   Luther in both the movie and the man DCI John Luther (played by Idris Elba) the cop with a score to settle against the killer does almost everything different from the normal we are used to taking a reference from Murder at the Orient Express and even the all too known Sherlock Holmes in that it shows you the killer upfront without looking to hide his identity till the awful last minute when connections are being put in place and you have a character with little moral standards on how he catches the bad guys.   David Robey (Wealthy trader and serial killer)   You would tend to enjoy the movie on two scales, the actions and life of both the serial k...
